Invoking the Holy Spirit: A Graceful Start to the Academic Year

On 18th June, the Convent of Jesus and Mary International School marked the beginning of the new academic year with a solemn and spiritually uplifting Holy Spirit Mass. The ceremony was held under the prayerful guidance of Ms. Varuni and Ms. Cynthia, and was celebrated by Fr. Gerard de Souza. The sacred atmosphere fostered a deep sense of unity and purpose as the entire staff gathered in prayer, invoking the guidance and wisdom of the Holy Spirit to lead them through the upcoming academic journey.

A special highlight of the celebration was the school choir, beautifully led by Ms. Yolanda, whose harmonious voices elevated the spiritual tone of the service. The uplifting music, skillfully provided by Sir Dominic, added depth and reverence to the Mass. Fr. Gerard de Souza delivered an inspiring homily, emphasizing the importance of faith, wisdom, and compassion in the work of educators. On the 4th of April, a solemn and spiritually enriching Holy Eucharist celebration was held, bringing together the faithful in a spirit of reverence and devotion. The Holy Mass was celebrated by Fr. Gerard de Souza, whose inspiring homily encouraged reflection, faith, and unity among all present.

The choir, beautifully led by Ms. Yolanda and Sir Dominic, enhanced the celebration with melodious hymns that uplifted the congregation and added to the sacredness of the occasion. The liturgy was thoughtfully prepared under the guidance of Ms. Antonetta and Ms. Caroline, ensuring that each element of the service was meaningful and well-coordinated. The Holy Eucharist marked a prayerful and meaningful start to the new academic year, invoking God’s blessings for guidance and wisdom. The entire celebration was a graceful and heartfelt expression of faith, leaving everyone spiritually renewed and grateful.

First Friday Mass (December)

The first Friday mass for the month of December was conducted on 01st December in the school Hall.

The theme for the mass was ‘Trust the Lord’. The celebrant Fr. Lincoln in his Homily highlighted the importance of trusting Lord always in life .

The mass ended with a note of thanks.
