The Parent Orientation Programme for Grades 1 to 10 was successfully conducted on 18th April 2026, beginning with a peaceful prayer for a positive and productive academic year.

Parents were introduced to the school’s rules, regulations, and expectations, including dress code, school timings, and guidelines for healthy tiffins. The school also provided an overview of the assessment system, covering periodic tests, assignments, and evaluation methods to help parents track their child’s progress.

General norms related to attendance, punctuality, communication, and student conduct were discussed to ensure clarity and consistency. The session aimed to strengthen the partnership between parents and the school, working together for the holistic development of every child.

A New Chapter of Student Leadership :The Investiture Ceremony (2026-27)- 17th April 2026

The Investiture Ceremony for the Senior and Junior Council at Convent of Jesus and Mary International School, Kharghar, held on 17th April 2026, was a dignified occasion marking the induction of the newly elected Student Council for the academic year 2026–27. The ceremony aimed to instill leadership, responsibility, and a spirit of service among students.

The programme began with a serene prayer service, followed by a heartfelt felicitation of the outgoing cabinet members for their dedication and contributions. The highlight of the event was the appointment of the new office bearers, with house captains and key leaders stepping forward to take on their roles with commitment.

The Principal, Sister Sheron Parera, formally conferred the badges and led the oath-taking ceremony, where students pledged to serve with integrity and discipline. In her address, she encouraged the leaders to embody humility, teamwork, and accountability.

The ceremony concluded on a proud and optimistic note, celebrating the beginning of a promising academic year, made memorable through the collective efforts of students and staff.

Inspiring Goals ,Instilling Values- Secondary Orientation day (7th April 2026)

On 7th April 2026, the Secondary Section conducted a meaningful Student Orientation Programme for Classes VI to X, aimed at helping students set clear goals and begin the academic year with determination and integrity. The session focused on both academic excellence and the development of strong moral values.

Each class participated in age-appropriate, interactive activities based on specific themes. Class X explored “Transition to Maturity,” while Class IX focused on “Perseverance is Equal to Success.” Class VIII learned about “Student Responsibility,” Class VII reflected on “Respect Begins with Me,” and Class VI understood the value of “Honesty is the Best Policy.”

The programme was engaging and impactful, inspiring students to move forward with clarity, confidence, and a sense of responsibility.

New Academic Year Assembly – A Positive Beginning -2nd April 2026

On 2nd April 2026, the school conducted the Opening Assembly for the academic year 2026–27 on the theme “The Future Depends on What You Do Today.” The programme began with a prayer and inspiring thoughts emphasizing the value of time and consistent effort.

A student skit highlighted the importance of discipline, planning, and making wise choices, encouraging students to avoid procrastination and work steadily towards their goals. The assembly also focused on time management and setting realistic targets for success.

The session concluded with motivating words by Ms. Durga, who urged students to stay focused, disciplined, and committed. The assembly set a positive and purposeful tone for the year ahead.

The Secondary Section welcomed the new academic year 2026–27 with warmth, enthusiasm, and a spirit of celebration. Students were greeted at the school entrance with cheerful smiles and encouraging words, making them feel valued and excited to begin their new journey. The campus buzzed with energy as students reunited with friends, shared stories from their holidays, and stepped back into a familiar yet refreshed environment.

Classrooms were beautifully decorated with colorful charts, subject displays, and motivational messages, creating an inviting and inspiring space for learning. Teachers extended a warm welcome, ensuring that every student felt comfortable, confident, and ready to embrace the year ahead. The joy of returning to school was clearly visible as laughter and lively conversations filled the corridors.

The day began with a special assembly focusing on perseverance and hard work, reminding students of the importance of determination in achieving their goals. The Secondary Coordinator addressed the gathering, motivating students to take initiative, remain disciplined, and strive for excellence in both academics and co-curricular activities.

Throughout the day, the positive energy was unmistakable. Students actively participated in introductory activities, bonding sessions, and classroom interactions, making their first day both enjoyable and meaningful. Open Day – 17th October 2025

Open Day for Grade 1 to Grade 10 was conducted on 17th October 2025. The results of the First Semester examinations were shared with the parents.

Teachers interacted individually with parents and discussed the students’ academic performance, strengths, and areas that need improvement. Constructive suggestions were given on how children can improve further through regular practice, better time management, and parental support at home.

The meeting provided a valuable opportunity for parents and teachers to work together for the overall development and progress of the students.

Session for Boys – (Grade 6 to Grade 8) – 12th Feb, 2026

A special informative session , on ‘ My Body, My Power’ was conducted for the boys of the secondary section ( grades 6-8) on Thursday 12th February, 2026.

The speaker of the session was Sr. Vidya Pathare , a Religious of Jesus and Mary, a committed social worker, who has dedicated herself to addressing some of society’s most challenging and sensitive issues—particularly anti-human trafficking, women’s empowerment, and the counselling and rehabilitation of prisoners. Currently serving in Sangamner, she continues her outreach among vulnerable and marginalized communities through counselling, awareness-building, and empowerment initiatives.

Sister briefed the students about the difference between sex, gender, sexuality. The session included a vivid understanding of LGBTQ. Students were made aware about bodily changes during puberty.

Students were deepened with the knowledge of reproductive organs, types of sexual orientation, changes happening to one’s body, understanding their feelings and the importance of relationships.

The key take away of the session was in fostering the thought to students that each one is unique. The Speaker highlighted the thought to students that, body is a temple of God and there exists wonders in our body, heart and soul. The session ended on a note of gratitude by a student representative.

Session for Girls – (Grade 6 to Grade 8) – 12th Feb, 2026

An informative session on ‘ My Body, My Power’ was conducted for the girls of the secondary section ( grades 6-8) on Thursday 12th February, 2026.

Sister briefed the students about the difference between sex, gender, sexuality. The session included a vivid understanding of LGBTQ. Students were made aware about bodily changes during puberty.

Students were deepened with the knowledge of reproductive organs, changes happening to one’s body, understanding their feelings and the importance of relationships.

In order to enhance their knowledge, students were briefed about menstruation, signs before periods, the cervical – mucus method and wet dreams.

Marathi Diwas – Special assembly – 17th February, 2026

To signify the importance and pride of Marathi diwas – a special assembly was conducted by grade 6A students under the guidance of Ms. Ashwini on 17th February,2026.

The assembly included relevance of the day,story song and pledge in Marathi language .The assembly imbibed in students the need and relevance of the language .

Students with their vivid creativity, took part in the activity zealously, spreading the feastal vibes around.
