Whiff, Whoosh, Wow! Prep Explores Air!

On Tuesday, 1st September, an engaging introductory activity on the theme “Air” was conducted for our Prep learners.

Air is everywhere, and today our little explorers discovered it!

Children explored the presence and importance of air through simple, hands-on experiences. They felt the air using balloons, paper & plastic bags and observed how air occupies space.

The excitement peaked with a delightful bubble-blowing session, where children learned that bubbles are filled with air. They also observed dancing curtains and paper in the wind.

The activity helped children understand that although air is invisible, it is all around us, we can feel it, and it is essential for life.

A light, breezy and breath-full beginning to a new theme!

Threads of Love: Rakhi Making Activity (27th August 2026)

The students of Grades I to V joyfully participated in a creative Rakhi Making Activity to celebrate the spirit of Raksha Bandhan.

Using colourful threads, ribbons, beads, sequins, and other decorative materials, the young learners crafted beautiful Rakhis, each reflecting their creativity and imagination.

The activity helped students appreciate the values of love, care, respect, and togetherness, making the celebration a meaningful and memorable experience.

Rakhi Making Competition – Best Out of Waste (27th August 2026)

On the eve of Raksha Bandhan, a creative Rakhi Making Competition was organized for our students on Thursday, 27th August 2026.

The theme of the competition was “Best Out of Waste”, where students showcased their creativity by using waste materials like pista shells, pencil shavings, paper, threads, and other eco-friendly items to design beautiful and unique Rakhis.

The activity not only celebrated the spirit of Raksha Bandhan – the bond of love and protection – but also taught children the importance of creativity, sustainability, and recycling.

All the Rakhis were vibrant, innovative, and full of love. The enthusiasm and imagination displayed by the students were truly commendable.

It was a joyful and meaningful celebration of tradition with a touch of environmental awareness.

Fruit Salad Making (25th August 2026)

On Tuesday, 25th August, A colourful and nutritious Fruit Salad Making Activity was conducted for our Prep learners.

Children brought a variety of fresh, sliced fruits from home and arranged them beautifully on their plates. With great enthusiasm, they mixed and created their own fruit salads and enjoyed eating them together.

The activity helped children learn about different fruits, their colours, tastes, and importance for good health. It was a joyful way to promote healthy eating habits and encourage children to enjoy fresh and nutritious food.

It was a fun-filled, tasty learning experience for all!

Cooking Without Fire – A Fun Culinary Experience (21st August 2026)

Our students from Grades 1 to 5 participated enthusiastically in a delightful “Cooking Without Fire” activity on 21st August 2026. The activity provided an exciting opportunity for students to explore healthy ingredients, learn simple food preparation skills, and enjoy the experience of creating their own dishes.

Each grade prepared a different no-cook delicacy:

Grade 1: Corn Chaat

Grade 2: Fruit Chaat

Grade 3: Bhel

Grade 4: Chana Chaat

Grade 5: Vegetable Sandwich

The young chefs enthusiastically assembled their ingredients, experimented with flavours, and presented their colourful creations with great pride. The activity encouraged creativity, teamwork, healthy eating habits, and independence while making learning enjoyable and hands-on.

It was a wonderful experience filled with smiles, excitement, and delicious creations, making the day a memorable one for our young chefs!

Sandwich Making Activity (20th August 2026)

Learning was extra tasty this Thursday 20th August in Prep!

Our little chefs enjoyed a wonderful Sandwich Making Activity. Children came prepared with all the ingredients from home – bread, butter, cheese, and freshly sliced veggies.

With great excitement, they assembled their sandwiches neatly, layering everything with their own little hands. There was so much joy in spreading butter, arranging veggies, and taking the first bite of their creation!

More than just fun, this activity helped children understand the importance of healthy eating habits and eating fresh and nutritious food. A perfect mix of learning, independence, and yumminess!

Learning Through Service, Creativity and Responsibility (12th August 2026)

A meaningful SUPW (Socially Useful Productive Work) activity was conducted for the students of Grade 11 on 12th August 2026. The activity provided students with an opportunity to engage in productive and purposeful work while developing essential values and life skills.

Students participated with enthusiasm and demonstrated creativity, teamwork, cooperation and responsibility throughout the activity. The session encouraged them to understand the importance of contributing meaningfully to the community and developing a spirit of service.

The activity was an enriching experience that enabled students to learn beyond the classroom and appreciate the values of self-reliance, social responsibility and productive engagement.

Celebrating India: A Mosaic of Cultures (14th August 2026)

Grade 11 celebrated Cultural Day on 14th August 2026, on the eve of Independence Day, with great enthusiasm, creativity and patriotic spirit. The celebration focused on the beautiful theme of “Unity in Diversity” and gave students an opportunity to appreciate the rich cultural heritage of India.

As part of the celebration, students represented different regions and cultures of India. They creatively prepared colourful masks inspired by various regions, showcasing traditional identities, costumes, symbols and cultural elements.

Adding a special dimension to the celebration, the students also spoke about the culture they represented. They shared interesting information about their region’s traditions, festivals, food, clothing, language, customs and unique cultural practices. Their presentations reflected confidence, enthusiasm and a genuine appreciation for India’s diverse heritage.

The activity encouraged students to learn from one another and understand that every region contributes to the rich cultural tapestry of our nation. The colourful masks and engaging presentations created a vibrant atmosphere and made the celebration both educational and enjoyable.

Celebrating Cultural Day just a day before Independence Day made the occasion even more meaningful. It reminded the students that India’s greatest strength lies in its diversity and our ability to live together with mutual respect and harmony.

The celebration concluded on a joyful and patriotic note, with students proudly embracing the message of “Unity in Diversity – One Nation, Many Cultures, One Heart.

Nature Walk ( 18th August 2026)

Theme: Plants & Environment

On Tuesday, 18th August, our Prep learners went on an exciting Nature Walk to the nearby park.Children enjoyed admiring the greenery, trees, flowers, and birds around them. Teachers spoke to them about the importance of nature and how it is a precious gift we must care for and protect.The walk was filled with curiosity and joy as children explored, observed, and clicked many photos of the beautiful surroundings.This activity helped children connect with nature, develop observation skills, and appreciate the environment around them.

Building a Better India Begins with Me – Independence Day and Cultural Day Celebration (14th August 2026)

The Pre primary Section celebrated Independence Day on 14 August, along with Cultural Day, with great enthusiasm under the inspiring theme “Building a Better India Begins with Me.” The celebration was a beautiful blend of patriotism, culture and values. The students came dressed in colourful and vibrant traditional attire, adding charm to the occasion.

The programme began with a warm welcome to our Principal, Sr. Sheron Pereira, all the Sisters of the Community, the teachers, and the students followed by a prayer service seeking God’s blessings for our nation.

Beautiful flower rangolis made by the preprimary sections enhanced the celebrations. The students of Grade 1 presented a graceful prayer dance, followed by a meaningful skit on the theme “Building a Better India Begins with Me.” The skit highlighted simple responsibilities such as not throwing waste, keeping our surroundings clean, saving water and caring for our environment. It conveyed the message that every child can contribute towards building a better nation through small but responsible actions.

The students of Grade 2 then presented the melodious group song “We Have a Vision for Tomorrow,” expressing hope for a brighter future. This was followed by vibrant patriotic dances performed by the students of Grades 3, 4 and 5, filling the atmosphere with joy and national pride.

The programme concluded with a Vote of Thanks by our principal Sr. Sheron Pereira, who appreciated the efforts of the students and teachers and addressed the children on the importance of the theme. She encouraged them to practise responsibility in their everyday lives by keeping their surroundings clean, saving water, avoiding wastage and making positive choices for the betterment of our country.

The celebration came to a solemn close with the singing of the National Anthem, leaving everyone with the inspiring reminder that building a better India truly begins with me and you.
