Education in the Age of AI – A Message to Students

-Ms Antonetta Fernandes

Dear Students,

We are living in an exciting age where Artificial Intelligence is becoming a part of our everyday lives. With information available at our fingertips, learning is no longer limited to the pages of a textbook. However, the most important lesson is to use technology wisely without allowing it to think for you.

AI can help you find information, understand difficult concepts and explore new ideas. But your curiosity, imagination, judgement and creativity are uniquely yours. Do not simply accept everything you see or read. Ask questions, check facts, think deeply and form your own opinions.

Education is also about becoming a good human being. Develop kindness, empathy, honesty, respect, responsibility and resilience. Learn to communicate, work with others, solve problems and face challenges with confidence.

Remember, marks may measure your academic progress, but your character, curiosity and ability to think will shape your future.

Use AI as a learning partner, not a shortcut. Read beyond your textbooks, explore the world around you, learn from your mistakes and never lose the joy of discovering something new.

“In the age of AI, don’t just learn answers—learn to ask better questions.”

*When Humanity Takes a Back Seat* – MS Shariya Ansari

As we celebrate Independence Day, I find myself thinking about the meaning of freedom—not just as a nation, but as human beings.
We live in a time when religion, identity, differences and opinions often seem to occupy more space in our lives than humanity itself. We have become increasingly conscious of who we are, which group we belong to and what makes us different from one another. Somewhere along the way, I wonder if we have forgotten to ask the simplest question:
“Are we being good human beings?”
Religion can guide us. Culture can give us roots. Our beliefs can give us strength. But none of these should make us forget compassion, kindness, empathy and respect for another human being.
What good is our progress if we can build impressive things but cannot build understanding between people? What does freedom mean if hatred, prejudice and intolerance continue to divide us?
Perhaps humanity does not disappear in one dramatic moment. Perhaps it slowly takes a back seat—in the small ways we stop listening, stop understanding, stop helping, or begin judging someone simply because they are different from us.
And this is where I believe education has a much deeper responsibility.
We teach children mathematics, language, science and history because these are important. But perhaps one of the greatest lessons we can teach is how to remain human in a world that constantly gives us reasons to become divided.
To respect someone without agreeing with them.
To help without asking what we will receive in return.
To speak without hurting.
To disagree without hatred.
To celebrate our identity without putting another identity down.
Maybe true progress is not just about how far we have come technologically or economically. Maybe it is also about whether we have become kinder along the way.
On this Independence Day, my thought is simple:
Let us never become so proud of our identities that we forget our common identity—humanity.
Because before we are defined by religion, language, culture, nationality or any other label, we are human beings first.
And perhaps the India we dream of is not only a stronger India or a more successful India, but an India where humanity never has to take a back seat.
Ms Jyoti Asawale
My Parents, My Guiding Light- Ms Sandra D’souza

My parents are my guiding light,
They help me choose what’s good and right.
They love me with all their heart,
And stand by me in every part.

They teach me kindness every day,
And show me the right and honest way.
They work so hard to see me smile,
Their love is with me all the while.

I thank my parents, kind and true,
For all the loving things they do.
I love them more than words can say,
And thank God for them every day. ❤️

Ms Ashwini Patil

*Teaching with Love, Learning with Joy*-Ms Parminder Pagare

I plant the seeds of hope each day,
With gentle words that guide the way.
A smile, a story, a helping hand,
Together we learn, together we stand.
Each little step, though small it seems,
Is building bright and lasting dreams.
With patience, care, and hearts so true,
I help each child discover something new.
Every child is a shining light,
Filled with wonder, warm and bright.
I nurture minds with love and grace,
Helping each one find their place.
For teaching is more than a role to play;
It is touching hearts in every way.
With love I teach, with joy they grow,
Together, we help tomorrow glow.

A Heart Full of Thanks – Ms Varuni Bernard

A grateful heart is rich indeed,
It blooms through every thoughtful deed.
It finds the good in every day
And lights the darkest, cloudiest way.
We thank the hands that guide us right,
The words that fill our hearts with light.
For family, friends, and teachers too,
Whose love is shown in all they do.
Gratitude lives not just in words,
But in our actions, gently heard.
A smile, a helping hand, a cheer—
Can bring hope to someone near.
When we choose thankfulness each day,
Our worries slowly fade away.
We learn to cherish what we own
And see how much our hearts have grown.
So let us walk with joy and grace,
Sharing kindness in every place.
For thankful hearts will always find
The greatest treasures are those of the mind.

Discipline – The Key to Success — Ms  Priya  Awal

Discipline is one of the most valuable qualities a student can develop. It is not about following rules out of fear but about making the right choices with responsibility and self-control. A disciplined student respects others, values time, completes tasks sincerely, and approaches every challenge with determination.
Good discipline helps create a positive learning environment where everyone can grow, learn, and succeed together. Small habits such as being punctual, listening attentively, keeping our surroundings clean, and treating others with kindness lay the foundation for a bright future.
A Little Poem for Our Students
Discipline lights the path we take,
Helping us learn with each step we make.
Kind words, kind hearts, and work well done,
Lead us each day toward the sun.
Be honest, helpful, brave, and true,
Success will surely follow you!
May we all remember that discipline is the bridge between dreams and success, and every good habit we build today shapes a brighter tomorrow.

The Innocence of a Child

A child’s heart is full of light,
Smiling sweet from morn till night.
Laughing, playing, full of cheer,
Finding joy in all things near.
Tiny hands and shining eyes,
Watching clouds drift through the skies.
Running freely in the sun,
Turning every day to fun.
Kind and gentle, pure and true,
Seeing magic in the
