Teachers’ Orientation 2026: Nurturing a Culture of Care -6th June 2026

A thought-provoking seminar on “Culture of Care” was conducted by Rev. Father John Berchman. The session focused on the importance of creating a nurturing environment where every child feels safe, respected, valued, and protected.
Rev. Father John Berchman emphasized that children flourish when relationships are built on dignity, empathy, and genuine care. He highlighted that students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally when they feel loved, heard, valued, and secure. A caring environment enables children to develop confidence, resilience, and a positive sense of self-worth.
One of the key messages of the seminar was that every child deserves at least one adult who never gives up on them. Teachers, parents, and caregivers have a profound influence on children’s lives through their encouragement, understanding, and unwavering support. Even small acts of kindness and empathy can leave a lasting impact on a child’s growth and development.
The session further stressed that every child matters and deserves protection, acceptance, and opportunities to succeed. Schools play a vital role in fostering a culture where children feel welcomed, included, and respected. By promoting compassion, understanding, and meaningful relationships, educators can create an atmosphere that supports the holistic development of every learner.
The seminar concluded with a powerful reminder that a true Culture of Care is built when every child is treated with respect and dignity and is given the support needed to reach their full potential. The session was insightful and inspiring, encouraging all educators to continue being a positive and dependable presence in the lives of their students.
Key Takeaway:
“Every child deserves at least one adult who never gives up on them.” This message serves as a guiding principle for educators committed to nurturing and empowering every child entrusted to their care.
