TEACHER’S TRAINING PROGRAMME (25th Sept to 27th Sept,2024)
The Excel Consultants conducted a teacher training program from September 25th to September 27th, 2024, with Mr. Christanand Vaze leading the seminar. The primary objective was to foster an understanding among teachers regarding their responsibilities towards the students and the school.
The seminar commenced with a solemn prayer led by Mr. Christanand, setting the stage for the ensuing discussions. He articulated key areas of focus for teachers, including punctuality, adherence to uniform guidelines, self-awareness, ensuring student safety, providing encouragement, and fostering empathy.
Additionally, Mr. Christanand highlighted essential aspects for teachers to consider, such as setting a positive example, active listening, providing encouragement, demonstrating empathy, nurturing self-awareness, and exercising patience with the students. Subsequently, teachers were organized into six distinct groups, tasked with embodying and enacting the aforementioned principles.
Later, Ms. Mansi delivered a demonstration lesson to the primary teachers, who were then tasked with conducting similar demo lessons the subsequent day, tailored to their respective subjects. The secondary teachers were also required to deliver demonstration lessons.
On the final day of the seminar, teachers were prompted to devise action plans for the six focal points discussed on the initial day, with the collective goal of enhancing student well-being and the school environment. The seminar also included engaging ice-breaking activities to cultivate brotherhood and relaxation among the participants.
The three-day training session for Grade 1 to Grade 10 teachers, conducted by an Excel consultant, started with a prayer and was followed by meditation and a warm-up session. The purpose of these activities was to create a calm and focused atmosphere for the teachers to engage in the training effectively.
To assist the teachers in creating effective chapter plans, a format was provided. This format likely included sections such as lesson objectives, learning activities, assessment methods, and resources needed. The teachers were required to follow this format and incorporate it into their lesson plans.
