Cleanliness Drive on the Occasion of Gandhi Jayanti (30th September 2026)
On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, a cleanliness drive was organised at Convent of Jesus and Mary International School, Kharghar, on 30th September 2026. The students of the Secondary Section enthusiastically participated in the drive with great zeal and responsibility.
As part of the initiative, the students cleaned and organised their respective classrooms. They took responsibility for keeping their surroundings neat and hygienic and worked together with enthusiasm and cooperation.
The activity helped the students understand the importance of cleanliness, discipline,teamwork and civic responsibility. It also reflected Mahatma Gandhi’s message that cleanliness is an essential part of a healthy and responsible life.
The enthusiastic participation of the students made the cleanliness drive a meaningful and successful initiative.
Empowering Young Minds: A Health and Wellness Workshop for Girls (11th September 2026)
CJM International School organised an informative and empowering workshop for the girls of Classes VI to XI from both the State and ICSE Boards on 11th September at 1:30 p.m. in the school hall. The session aimed to create awareness about women’s health, menstrual well-being and the importance of adopting healthy habits during the crucial years of adolescence.
The workshop was graced by Dr. Rohini Khera Bhatt, Consultant in Obstetrics, Gynecology and Robotic Surgery at Apollo Hospitals, Navi Mumbai. An accomplished medical professional, Dr. Bhatt completed her MBBS with First Division from King George’s Medical University, Lucknow, followed by an MS in Obstetrics and Gynecology from S.N. Medical College, Agra, where she was a Gold Medalist for her outstanding academic performance. She further earned her DNB in 2016 and the prestigious MRCOG from the United Kingdom in 2022.
With over a decade of experience, Dr. Bhatt specialises in high-risk pregnancies, antenatal care, minimally invasive and laparoscopic gynecological surgeries, hysteroscopic procedures, infertility and reproductive health. She has also managed complex gynecological cases and high-risk obstetric conditions, with a strong commitment to advancing women’s healthcare through modern and minimally invasive techniques.
The programme commenced with an introduction to the distinguished speaker by an ICSE student. Dr. Bhatt then engaged the students in an insightful and age-appropriate discussion on PCOD (Polycystic Ovarian Disease) and various health concerns that may arise during the growing-up years. She explained the menstrual cycle and discussed stress-related concerns, lifestyle factors and common gynecological health issues among women. The students were also sensitised to the importance of recognising symptoms at an early stage, maintaining personal health and seeking timely medical guidance whenever required.
A significant part of the session focused on practical dos and don’ts that girls should follow in their daily lives to maintain a healthy body and develop a confident personality. Dr. Bhatt encouraged the students to understand and respect their bodies and make informed choices regarding their health and well-being.
The session was highly interactive, with the girls participating enthusiastically and asking questions freely. Their curiosity and active involvement made the workshop engaging, meaningful and enriching.
The programme concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks, presented by a State Board student, expressing gratitude to Dr. Rohini Khera Bhatt for her valuable guidance and for empowering the students with greater awareness and confidence about their health.
The workshop proved to be a significant initiative by CJM International School towards nurturing informed, responsible and confident young women.

Health Check Up Camp (8th September 2026)
A health check-up and eye check-up were conducted by Apollo Hospital for students from Nursery to Grade 5.
Proceedings
As part of the check-up, students’ height and weight were measured and recorded in a form.
The students were examined by medical professionals to assess their general health and identify possible health- or vision-related concerns.
During the eye check-up, students were asked to read letters displayed on a screen.
Prescriptions were provided to students who required them.
A few students were found to already be using spectacles.Students who were already using spectacles underwent a detailed eye examination to assess whether their existing prescription was still suitable.
Where a change in the spectacle number was identified, the concerned students were provided with a new prescription.
Parents were advised to arrange new spectacles according to the updated prescription and to consult an eye .specialist if further evaluation was required.

Road Safety Awareness (7th August 2026)
On 7th August, CJM International School organised an informative and engaging Road Safety Awareness Session for the ICSE students during the 6th period. The session was conducted in the school hall, where the students assembled in an orderly manner, eager to learn about responsible road behaviour and traffic safety.
The programme commenced with Ms. Neha warmly welcoming everyone and introducing the distinguished guests for the day. The esteemed speakers included Police Naik Misal sir, A. T. Das, Rathore Sir, and Constable Sawant Ma’am, whose experience and dedication made the session both insightful and inspiring.
The speakers highlighted the importance of road safety as an essential part of everyday life. They stressed that many road accidents occur because people fail to follow basic traffic rules, such as waiting patiently for the traffic signal to turn green. Through practical examples, they encouraged students to become disciplined and responsible road users.
The officers shared several important road safety guidelines. They emphasised the necessity of wearing helmets and seat belts at all times, explaining that these simple precautions can prevent serious head injuries and save lives. Students were reminded that driving without a valid licence is illegal, especially for those below the age of eighteen. They also underlined the importance of vehicle insurance, adhering to prescribed speed limits, and strictly avoiding triple riding or reckless driving.
Beyond traffic regulations, the speakers spoke about the vital role of the traffic police in ensuring public safety. They explained the challenges, risks, and responsibilities involved in their profession, including the rigorous training and first-aid skills required to respond effectively during emergencies. The students also learnt about the various fines and legal consequences imposed for violating traffic rules, reinforcing the importance of being law-abiding citizens.
The session concluded with an inspiring message encouraging students to become responsible future citizens who value human life and practise road safety at all times. The programme came to a graceful close with a heartfelt vote of thanks proposed by Ms. Niveditha Goudsingh from the SSC section, who expressed sincere gratitude to the honourable guests for their valuable guidance and for creating awareness among the students.
The session proved to be highly educational, leaving the students with a deeper understanding of road safety and their responsibility towards building a safer society.
