On the 28th of November, 2024, the Convent of Jesus and Mary International School’s Primary Section hosted its much-anticipated Annual Sports Day on the beautiful grounds of the school. This year’s theme, ‘Glow with Fitness’, encapsulated the spirit of the day. The atmosphere buzzed with enthusiasm and joy, radiating the excitement of students and teachers alike.
The event showcased the vibrant talents of students in Grades I to V, offering a plethora of activities that highlighted both competition and teamwork. The day kicked off with the prominent arrival of the chief guest, Mrs. Shrruti Clarence, India’s first Mrs. Universe Confident, who brought an inspiring presence to the occasion.
As the morning unfolded, students demonstrated their energy and passion through a spirited series of events. The Torch March ignited the festivities, followed by an impressive March Past where each troop proudly represented their classes . The synchronized class drills showcased the students’ coordination and unity, while karate demonstrations highlighted their discipline and strength. The exhilarating races had the crowd roaring with excitement, embodying the competitive spirit.
A standout moment came during the medal and certificate distribution, where Mrs. Clarence honoured the winners, celebrating their achievements. In her heartfelt address, she emphasized the transformative power of sports in a child’s life, reminding everyone that while winning is commendable, the essence of participation and growth is what truly matters.
The day concluded with the lowering of the school flag, a powerful symbol of unity and pride among all attendees. The National Anthem echoed, fostering a sense of belonging and patriotism that resonated deeply.
