“A book is a gift you can open again and again.”
Convent of Jesus and Mary International School celebrated Reading Day on 1st October 2026, commemorating the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, the renowned philosopher, educator and former President of India.
To nurture the habit of reading and encourage a love for books, students from Prep to Grade 10 participated enthusiastically in the special reading activity. The children brought along their favourite storybooks, creating a delightful atmosphere filled with imagination, curiosity and the joy of reading.
Students spent quality time immersed in their chosen books, exploring fascinating stories, characters and adventures. The activity provided them with an opportunity to read for pleasure, broaden their imagination and discover the wonderful world that books have to offer.
The Reading Day celebration beautifully reinforced the importance of reading in a child’s learning journey and encouraged students to make reading a meaningful and enjoyable part of their everyday lives.
