The English Department of Convent of Jesus and Mary International School conducted a Role Play Competition for Grades 6 and 7, focusing on the theme of Indian Freedom Fighters. After several exciting and competitive preliminary rounds, the final round was held on 2nd August. Students portrayed various national heroes such as Mahatma Gandhi, Bhagat Singh, Rani Lakshmibai, and Subhas Chandra Bose with confidence and enthusiasm, bringing history to life through expressive dialogues and powerful performances.
The participants impressed the judges with their research, costumes, and ability to convey the spirit of the freedom struggle. The event not only improved students’ speaking and presentation skills but also deepened their understanding of India’s history and values. The best performers were awarded certificates in recognition of their effort and talent, making the event both educational and inspiring.
