World Environment Day was celebrated in Convent of Jesus and Mary, International School from 7th to 11th June. Drawing activity was conducted for students from Grade 1 – Grade 8
Vanmahotsav
Van Mahotsav or Forest Festival is an annual tree-planting festival celebrated in the month of July in which thousands of trees are planted all over the country. Van Mahotsav week is celebrated from 1 July to 7 July to spread awareness of forest conservation and to save the environment. Convent of Jesus and Mary International School also organised Vanmahotsav celebration week for the students to encourage them to care for creation.
A special assembly was held, videos and presentations were shown to sensitize the students to the need to become good stewards of this wonderful creation that God has blest us with. The students were encouraged to plant saplings in their vicinity and care for these by daily watering them.
