On March 28th, 2023, an orientation session was conducted for the parents of Prep 1 and Prep 2 students. The purpose of the orientation
was to provide general instructions and information regarding various
aspects of the school.
During the session, parents were informed about the school timings,
including the start and end times of the school day. They were also
provided details about the school uniforms, including the specific
attire and any accessories or items that students need to wear or
carry.
Instructions regarding the school ID cards, such as the importance of
wearing them and the consequences of not having them, were also given
to the parents. Additionally, the school’s policies regarding student
haircuts and accessories were explained to ensure compliance.
Regarding meals, parents were informed about the requirements for
their child’s tiffin (packed lunch) and what items should be included
in it. This ensured that students would have a nutritious meal during
their school hours.
The orientation session also covered the essential items that students
should carry with them daily to school. These might include
stationery, books, notebooks, and any other materials necessary for
their academic activities.
Parents were made aware of the rules and regulations of the school to
ensure a safe and disciplined learning environment. The school
authorities emphasized the importance of following these guidelines
and explained any consequences for non-compliance.
Furthermore, the session highlighted the activities planned for the
academic year. Parents were informed about upcoming events,
celebrations, field trips, competitions, and any other significant
activities that students would be involved in. This gave parents an
overview of what their child could expect and allowed them to plan
accordingly.
Lastly, Sr. Sheron addressed the parents and spoke about the
functioning of the school. They likely provided information about the
school’s vision, mission, curriculum, teaching methodologies, and the
support system available for students. This helped parents gain an
understanding of the school’s overall approach to education and support for their children.
