With the initiative of the Educational committee of Convent of Jesus and Mary School a very informative talk on Awareness about the cyber crime. ‘
was organised for students from grade 6-10 on October 7th, 2023.’
The Resource person for the day was
Mr. Shailesh Jaria the founder of Cybercrime Rok, which has received World Record Recognition from ”World Record India” for completing more than 1000+ Free Seminars in Maharashtra, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Goa, Madya Pradesh and many more states and union Territories in India. Cybercrime Rok has conducted seminars in Various, Schools, Colleges, Universities, NGO’s, Government organizations, Corporates etc. The Principal, Sr. Sheron Pierera extended a warm welcome to the Resource person by felicitating him with a bouquet and a gift.
Students were made aware the necessary safety measures to be followed while being a mobile and Internet users. Students were instructed on how to stay safe from various Cyber-crimes; like Email Hacking, Phishing, Smishing, Vishing, Online Frauds, Credit / Debit card Frauds, Shopping Frauds, Pornography, Data Theft, Blackmailing, Sextortion, Cyber Sucide, Cyber Murders, etc.
The talk indeed made a difference in the way the students see and use technology.
The talk ended with a note of thankfulness by Tanvi Pawale – a grade 10 student.
