The school had organized an SUPW Outreach Programme on 29th July, 2024. The students of grades 7 visited Girija orphanage & Grade10 along with SUPW teachers visited the old age home run by the Girija Welfare Association.
The students had been preparing for this outreach for many days. They had contributed money and purchased groceries and various toiletries for the residents. They also prepared cards and handmade flowers for them. The residents of the old age home were very happy to see the students. They interacted with the students happily and even advised the students on the importance of education. The students sang for them. The residents were very happy and even blessed the students, who touched their feet.
The students were touched by the emotional experiences shared by the old people. These interactions have indeed created lasting memories and positive experiences for both children and older adults, sensitizing the students to the needs of the older people.
