The Secondary Inter-House Science Quiz was held on 1st July 2026 during the 7th, 8th, and 9th periods in the Assembly Hall. The event brought together enthusiastic participants from all four houses, creating an atmosphere of healthy competition, learning, and excitement. The quiz aimed to nurture scientific thinking, encourage teamwork, and inspire students to explore the fascinating world of science.
The programme commenced with an inspiring introduction by Ms. Durga Singh, who remarked, “Science is not just a subject; it is a way of thinking, exploring, and discovering the wonders of our world.” Her words set the tone for the event and motivated the participants to approach the competition with confidence, curiosity, and a spirit of inquiry.
The quiz consisted of several exciting rounds that tested the students’ knowledge, observation skills, logical thinking, and presence of mind. These included the Rapid Fire Round, Visual Round, Riddles, Truth and Myth, Spot the Error, and the much-awaited Buzzer Round. Every team participated with great enthusiasm and determination, making the competition both engaging and closely contested. While the scores were being compiled, an interactive Audience Round was conducted, giving students in the audience an opportunity to participate. The audience responded enthusiastically, making the event even more lively and enjoyable.
The quiz was meticulously planned and organised by the dedicated team of secondary science teachers, comprising Ms. Durga, Ms. Deepa, Ms. Sripriya, Ms. Savita, and Ms. Seenipency. Their collective efforts, careful planning, and seamless coordination ensured the smooth and successful conduct of the event.
At the conclusion of the quiz, Ms. Racquel addressed the gathering and congratulated all the participants for their sporting spirit and active involvement. She also applauded the science teachers for their excellent teamwork and for organising such an informative and engaging programme that fostered scientific temper among the students.
After an exciting contest, Blue House emerged as the champions, while Green House secured the runners-up position. The event concluded on a cheerful note, leaving everyone inspired and reinforcing the importance of scientific curiosity, critical thinking, and collaborative learning.
