Invoking the Holy Spirit: A Graceful Start to the Academic Year
On 18th June, the Convent of Jesus and Mary International School marked the beginning of the new academic year with a solemn and spiritually uplifting Holy Spirit Mass. The ceremony was held under the prayerful guidance of Ms. Varuni and Ms. Cynthia, and was celebrated by Fr. Gerard de Souza. The sacred atmosphere fostered a deep sense of unity and purpose as the entire staff gathered in prayer, invoking the guidance and wisdom of the Holy Spirit to lead them through the upcoming academic journey.
A special highlight of the celebration was the school choir, beautifully led by Ms. Yolanda, whose harmonious voices elevated the spiritual tone of the service. The uplifting music, skillfully provided by Sir Dominic, added depth and reverence to the Mass. Fr. Gerard de Souza delivered an inspiring homily, emphasizing the importance of faith, wisdom, and compassion in the work of educators.
