An exciting inter-school competition was recently held in April at the Convent of Jesus and Mary International School, showcasing the traditional Indian games of *Kho Kho* and *Langdi. The event, organized by our dedicated Physical Education Master, **Sir Sunil*, was a wonderful initiative aimed at reviving old-school games and encouraging children to spend more time outdoors, away from gadgets and screens.
*Kho Kho (Grades 4 & 5):*
The energy on the field was electric as students competed with great enthusiasm.
???? *Winners*:
* *Grade 4B* – Boys and Girls
* *Grade 5A* – Girls
* *Grade 5B* – Boys
*Langdi (Grades 2 & 3):*
Students from Grades 2 and 3 participated in the traditional game of Langdi, a fast-paced and fun game that had everyone cheering with excitement.
The competition not only fostered a sense of teamwork and physical fitness but also brought immense joy to all the participants. It was heartening to see the children so engaged in these culturally rich games.
Our *Principal* also encouraged the students, appreciating the importance of maintaining a balance between academics and physical activity. The event truly reflected the spirit of sportsmanship, cultural heritage, and fun.
A big thank you to *Sir Sunil* for his splendid efforts in organizing this memorable event. We look forward to many more such initiatives that keep our traditions alive and our children active!
