On 1st May 2025, Maharashtra Day was celebrated with great pride and enthusiasm at the Convent of Jesus and Mary International School, Kharghar. The event began with the ceremonial flag hoisting by the Principal, Sr. Sheron Pereira, and the Manager, Sr. Agatha Pereira, followed by a solemn prayer service to invoke blessings for the state and its people. Students and staff gathered to honour the formation of the state of Maharashtra, remembering its rich cultural heritage and contributions.
A well-prepared speech highlighting the significance of the day was delivered, followed by a vibrant cultural performance. Students dressed in traditional Maharashtrian attire performed an energetic lezim dance and sang a melodious Marathi song, celebrating the spirit of Maharashtra. The event was conducted under the guidance of Ms. Ashwini Patil and was appreciated by all present for its cultural richness and patriotic fervour.
