A highly engaging and informative self-defense session was conducted by the SOCIAL COMMITTEE of our school for Grades 6 to 9, led by Mr. Anil Mahade, a multi-talented and certified martial artist who also serves as the Vice Chief Director of Japan Karate-Do Keibukai India. With years of experience and expertise, Mr. Mahade spoke to the students about the importance of self-defence in everyday life. He emphasized how being equipped with self-defence techniques not only helps in dangerous situations but also builds confidence, discipline, and awareness. He discussed real-life scenarios and shared practical tips on how to stay alert and protect oneself when faced with unexpected challenges.

Adding to the effectiveness of the session, Mr. Mahade was joined by his associate, Aryan Talekar, and together they demonstrated key self-defence moves, encouraging active participation from the students. The interactive nature of the session kept students engaged and motivated to learn more. It served as an eye-opener for many, reinforcing the idea that self-defence is not just a physical skill but an essential life skill. The session was a perfect blend of education and empowerment, leaving the students inspired and better prepared to handle real-world situations with resilience and confidence.

Importance of Karate
Our Karate classes have started for students after school. ???? In these sessions, students engage in various Karate drills, sparring, and kata practice. By participating, they enhance their mental strength, boost their confidence, and learn essential self-defense skills. Karate fosters discipline, improves focus, and prepares students for participation in local and national tournaments, instilling a sense of achievement and dedication. ????????????
The word Karate means “empty handed”. It is a kind of martial arts practiced in ancient times for self-defense. At CJM International School, children learn self-leadership and self-discipline through this activity. It also keeps them physically fit. During classes, students learn courtesy and respect for each other and the instructor.
