A special informative session , on ‘ My Body, My Power’ was conducted for the boys of the secondary section ( grades 6-8) on Thursday 12th February, 2026.
The speaker of the session was Sr. Vidya Pathare , a Religious of Jesus and Mary, a committed social worker, who has dedicated herself to addressing some of society’s most challenging and sensitive issues—particularly anti-human trafficking, women’s empowerment, and the counselling and rehabilitation of prisoners. Currently serving in Sangamner, she continues her outreach among vulnerable and marginalized communities through counselling, awareness-building, and empowerment initiatives.
Sister briefed the students about the difference between sex, gender, sexuality. The session included a vivid understanding of LGBTQ. Students were made aware about bodily changes during puberty.
Students were deepened with the knowledge of reproductive organs, types of sexual orientation, changes happening to one’s body, understanding their feelings and the importance of relationships.
The key take away of the session was in fostering the thought to students that each one is unique. The Speaker highlighted the thought to students that, body is a temple of God and there exists wonders in our body, heart and soul. The session ended on a note of gratitude by a student representative.
