On Friday, April 4, 2025, the Primary Section held its much-anticipated Student Orientation Day, welcoming students from Grades 1 to 5. The event served as a warm introduction to the new academic year and was designed to set a positive tone for the months ahead.
The theme of this year’s orientation was *“Self-Discipline”*—a foundational value essential for both personal and academic success. The session aimed to help students understand the importance of managing their actions, making responsible choices, and staying focused on their goals.
Teachers led engaging and interactive discussions, using real-life examples and age-appropriate storytelling to explain the concept of self-discipline. Students were encouraged to share their thoughts, ask questions, and reflect on how they can apply self-discipline in their daily routines, both inside and outside the classroom.
To reinforce the theme in a fun and creative way, students participated in a variety of hands-on activities:
– *Colouring* (Grades 1 & 2): Young learners expressed their understanding of discipline through art.
– *Wall-Hanging Creation* (Grade 3): Students illustrated key messages related to self-control and responsibility.
– *Poster Making* (Grades 4 & 5): Older students designed powerful, concise messages that captured the essence of self-discipline.
Overall, Orientation Day was a successful and enriching experience, laying a strong foundation for a disciplined, focused, and productive school year ahead.
