Grade 1 – Aadnya Raj
Aadnya Aditya Raj, a six year old student studying in Grade 1 of Convent of Jesus and Mary International School has brought great honour to her parents and the school by succeeding in solving maximum math sums in minimum time in the International Abacus Competition.
In the Abacus exam held online on 24th July, 2021 for those above the age of six, Aadnya managed to solve forty questions in just five minutes and twenty four seconds out of the twelve minutes allotted. One and a half lakh children from all over the world participated in this competition. The results were declared on 27th July, where in Aadnya made India proud by securing the 20th place.
She participated in the competition through ICMS. Aadnya was honoured with the winning trophy in the International Olympic Championship for solving more math sums in less time when the test given by Aadnya was for children above her age.
Grade 3 – Kaveesh Mekhia
Another success story is of Kaveesh Mekhia from Grade 3 of Convent of Jesus and Mary International School who won the Champion Trophy in the 128th Regional Online Abacus Competition – Brainobrainfest 2021 held on 8th August. It is indeed a moment of great pride for the school and parents as well.
