Teachers’ Day was celebrated with great joy and gratitude at Convent of Jesus and Mary International School on 4th and 5th September 2026, honouring the dedication, love and commitment of our teachers.
The Preprimary and the Primary Section celebrated Teachers’ Day on 4th September, while the Secondary Section and Grade 11 students continued the celebrations on 5th September. A special Teachers’ Day Mass was also celebrated on 4th September, offering prayers of thanksgiving for our teachers and seeking God’s blessings upon them in their noble mission of shaping young minds and hearts.
A special programme was thoughtfully organised by the Sisters and the Coordinators for the teachers. The celebration began with a prayer service, followed by a delightful array of skits, dances and melodious songs presented with love and appreciation. A particularly beautiful presentation added a heartfelt touch to the occasion, making the teachers feel truly valued and cherished.
The celebrations continued with a special contribution from the PTA, who organised an entertaining programme for the teachers after the students had left. Their lively dance performance and fun-filled games brought smiles, laughter and a wonderful sense of togetherness. The celebrations concluded with a warm and delicious lunch for all the teachers.
The Teachers’ Day celebrations were a beautiful expression of gratitude and appreciation for the teachers who, with patience, compassion and dedication, continue to inspire, guide and empower their students each day. With the theme “Igniting the Light of Wisdom and Hope,” it was truly a memorable celebration of the teachers who light the way and make a lasting difference in the lives of their students.
