The Prep Section of CJM International School did an activity to make vegetable sandwiches on Tuesday, 3rd September 2024. It was also celebrated as a Green Day.
The sandwich-making activity promotes healthy eating and children also learn to make healthy food choices. The children develop sequencing skills, complete complex tasks and follow routines. They also learnt skills like spreading, stacking and presenting. It also helps develop culinary curiosity and independence.
All the children enjoyed making the sandwich and eating them too!
The children were also dressed in different shades of green to integrate with the theme of Plants. This helped to develop an attitude of gratitude and appreciation. They also learnt about the importance of the colour green which represents nature, energy, growth, harmony, freshness and environment. This activity is not only fun but also provides a positive learning experience.
